Long-ago tradition for rain Dodola/Peperuda is traditional prayer for rain at the times of drought.

The Prayer itself resembles repetitive melody (sounds and words) like spiritual mantra.

According to some interpretations, its roots lie in the Slavonic cult towards The God of thunder Perun and his wife Dodola (Perperuna).
